语法聚焦:

时间状语从句。引导时间状语从句的从属连词有:when,while,before,after,as ,until,till,as soon as.

注:when,as和while都可以表示“当......的时候”,而when既可表示“一个特定的时间”,也可表示“一段时间”;as多用于口语,强调“同一时间”或“一先一后”;while也可表示同一时间,但所表示的不是一个时间点,而是一段时间,因此,谓语动词常是延续性的,并且常用进行时态。有时while可以与when,as互换。(详见课本P121----122)。

另:在时间状语从句中,如果主句是一般将来时,从句常用一般现在时表示将来。

Eg:I'll tell her when she comes tomorrow.

I'll ring you as soon as I get to Beijing.
